I’m the owner and principal photographer of Deutsch Photography, and I’ve been an avid photographer since I bought my first camera when I was 13. It was a Kodak Disc (if you can remember that long-defunct technology). I trained at Pomona College in Claremont, CA, and later in NYC at the New York Institute of Photography and the School of Visual Arts.
I’ve tramped through 26 countries and all 7 continents, including Antarctica. My work has been published in the United States (including the Dallas Morning News, the Kansas City Star and the Hartford News), and internationally (Time Out London, The Ottawa Citizen, The Regina Leader-Post and The Victoria Times Colonist).
No matter what I photograph — special events, portraits, landscapes, animals or any other subject — I shoot for the truth. I’m a documentarian with a bent for beauty and energy. For me, there’s a story in every image. I hope you feel the same as you look at these photos.
